Kim 7th July 2021

Tribute from Pamela Woon Unknowing to Adeline, I was one of the many fans that admired Ad from afar, drawn to her by her beauty , grace and serenity that personifies her. We were schoolmates and our paths crossed as a result of sports. Both Ad and I were athletes always competing against one another, with me trailing behind her as usual. Our friendship grew when we met again in UK where we both studied and became very close friends. The things I loved most about Ad was her subtle humor, kindness, composure and wisdom. She has always stood by me through thick and thin and it was in many ways, her unfailing support and friendship that I recovered from my failed marriage and even found the strength & courage to bring Kimberley into this world as a single-parent! (the greatest decision I have ever made in my entire life !!!) I am very glad that Kimberley and I did make it to High Wycombe two years ago to spend some lovely time with Ad and family, one filled with so many happy memories which we shall always cherish. The impromptu ‘’breakfast’’ birthday celebration that Ad miraculously pulled together for Kimberley says it all ……. mini-cakes from Rachel delivered the night before, last minute innovative decorations and freshly plucked flowers from the garden before Kimberley wakes up is SOOOOOOO ……… Ad! I will miss her greatly but take comfort knowing that our paths will cross again no doubt. - Pamela Woon
