I had the tremendous pleasure of knowing Adeline from university days in Cardiff in the late 1970s. We will miss you sorely Adeline. Your decency and sincerity will stay with us forever. Our sorrow is immense, more than words can say but through our grief, we give thanks to the Almighty God for the life of a fine woman I am proud to call a friend and will cherish the blessing of knowing and loving you. Being the free spirit that Adeline is and her love of nature, I think this poem by Mary Elizabeth Frye “Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep “ will be how she would like us to remember her. Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am in a thousand winds that blow, I am the softly falling snow. I am the gentle showers of rain, I am the fields of ripening grain. I am in the morning hush, I am in the graceful rush Of beautiful birds in circling flight, I am the starshine of the night. I am in the flowers that bloom, I am in a quiet room. I am in the birds that sing, I am in each lovely thing. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there. I do not die.” "Good-night, sweet prince[ss], And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. " - Shakespeare’s Hamlet Act 5 Scene 2 Liza Chan 7.7.21
