In my second year at uni, Aunty Adeline invited me to spend time with her at her home in High Wycombe. I have heard a lot about her through my nan who told me that she was one of the chief organisers of her family reunion in Singapore. I looked forward to meeting her and her family so as to get to know my relatives in the UK and represent my own from home in Singapore. Aunty Adeline took care of me so well at Wycombe and has since always invited me to hers every vacation which I never found the time to visit again as I got really busy with school. She gave me a lot of valuable advice on how to live and survive in the UK as a young lady and she had a lot of wisdom to share. I miss her very much but it is through her that I am now more sure than ever that I still have family here in the UK that I can reach out to whenever I feel alone. :)
